The GRTC Legislative Committee has prime responsibility for advocating an economic, tax and regulatory environment that supports the continued growth of this region's technology sector. The Committee also actively advocates the creation of a technology infrastructure and workforce that will maximize the competitiveness of the area's technology industries.

The Committee surveys the membership to develop the Council's annual legislative agenda. It informs the membership of state and federal legislative issues, and coordinates with other regional councils and the Virginia Technology Alliance to also establish a statewide technology agenda.
