Scheduled for May 11, 2005, the Tech Council’s Awards Gala is the area’s premier event honoring outstanding individuals, corporate and community leaders, entrepreneurs and pioneers in the Greater Richmond region. Last year’s event, presented by the Greater Richmond Technology Council and Capital One, attracted approximately 500 key technology leaders from all over the region. This year’s event will celebrate the best and brightest stars in the area and recognize their outstanding achievements to the vital growth of technology in Central Virginia. Thirty finalists will be chosen from six awards. The Awards categories includeIBM's Leadership, Strategic Staffing Solutions' IT Builders,Cherry, Bekaert & Holland's Emerging Company, Infineon Technologies' Technology Innovation, Spanish Moss Holdings' Community Support and Computer Resource Team's Technology SkillBuilder. It's painless - you supply us with the category and the name and email address of the person you want to nominate. Nominate yourself or a client and we do the rest!

2005 promises to be an exciting year for the Council and its members. Sign up for either the breakfast or luncheon sponsorship and receive recognition and tickets to both events! GRTC's first breakfast of 2005 featured Neal Fondren, Vice President in charge of the Interactive Media Division at Media General; and our February luncheon speaker will be the legendary Vint Cerf… the REAL father of the Internet. We will also be working with the two gubernatorial campaigns for a reprise of our 2001 luncheon that featured both the republican (Mark Early) and Democrat (Mark Warner) at the same luncheon, addressing issues that affect the technology community. Once again, our breakfast series will focus on technology decision makers, and our luncheon series will focus on broader business and community issues. |
